APOM June Meeting – Self-Care

Many parents today are overwhelmed with the stresses of daily life. In fact, a lot of parents feel like they’re just treading water trying to keep up with the daily tasks associated with caring for children. Being a parent is not easy—it can feel as though we’re constantly focused on our children: feeding, clothing, teaching, disciplining and more all day long. But are you taking time to focus on yourself, too?
If you’re like most moms and dads, you need to be told that you’re WORTH focusing on, and that it’s okay to take time to take care of yourself. Practicing self-care is actually a very important step to becoming a better parent, and there are things you can do today to get started.
Join us this month as our guest speaker, Jodi Filleman helps us discover techniques for self-care. Jodi has over 15 years of professional education experience. In that time, she has served as a licensed professional counselor, childbirth educator, doula, public speaker and yoga instructor. She is an Apprentice Trainer with Conscious Transformation. It is her passion and purpose to support individuals, couples, and families know vibrant and meaningful lives.
